i lost a piece of paper at work (my schedule) that had several days' worth of drawings on the back.
i'm an obsessive horder of my own art, and also art anyone gives me...so this really upsets me. more than i really thought it would. i thought maybe one of the 4th graders found it and walked off with it, since they're always asking for art, but they all say they haven't seen it anywhere.
i didn't get to scan it either. and the worst is, i can clearly see several of the drawings on it in my mind's eye. and there's no way i can replicate them again and i really liked them.
man i have art from ten years ago still stored. i try to NEVER throw out art. and i lost this before i could even preserve it. it's the biggest emotional bummer, way beyond what i thought it'd be. i guess because this is the first art i've lost in more than ten years it's sort of a shock i forgot how to deal with.

so happy 2010 folks!
i actually fell asleep before midnight watching twilight zone. a fine new-years tradition if i ever had one. before that, i played l4d with ![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) rainbowcemetery, alfonzos2112 and jazaaboo which was wicked fun. nothing like blasting zombies and being mauled to kick off a new year :D
part of my new years resolution is to GET RID of some of the stuff i have lying around in boxes that i collected for the sake of collecting and then NEVER DID ANYTHING WITH. you know, get rid of the horder instinct? so i'm listing a bunch of it on ebay. there's hide CDs, hard gay stitch, PSPs, RAM and pokemons.
other new years' resolutions include: getting back to doing situps, going to more concerts, dressing up as a Hunter for SDCC10, budgeting time to work on sabrous and painting that goddamn guitar. will i do it? can i do it? I THINK SO.

for those of you who weren't enormous nerds watching dated scifi and playing videogames all night, i hope today is free of major hangovers and your new year spectacular. it was a blue moon, folks. that's got to mean SOMETHING good for 2010 :>

i also nearly forgot to mention this very interesting awareness campaign called art marathon. artists can join up and draw, streaming it or whatever, for 24 hours. the general focus is to raise awareness about the fact that there is in fact modern slaver and it is not in fact a good thing at all.
i think we can all agree on that.
while i'm not sure if i have 24 hours of my life to devote strictly to drawing these days, other artists and art lovers might be superbly interested. so go! check it out! |

don't mind me, just dropping off some new years' filler art for the comic...
it'll be returning after the new year has passed, because my hand will for-sure be healed up by then. plus, most of my errands and obligations that have been slowing me up should be completed by then. MOST OF.
i hope everyone's holidays were great. i got this wiggly light-up sea anenome thing from a grab bag that is currently in running with the Big Family Gift of 09 for my favourite present. the Big Family Gift was a reservation to go hop in a tank of water with a beluga. which is pretty goddamn awesome. that's going to happen this summer, fooor sure.
and hey did anyone notice?
the charity drive broke 1000$ raised for each side! given how rough the year has been on everyone financially, i'm really impressed! i'm sure we can raise more than this, even. some supermarkets even have those little food bank donation tickets you can add at check-out. look around for those, they count too! |

just fyi, the comic is currently quite late. holidays threw things into a bit of a tailspin. i may do the traditional new years' filler and call it even until january.
buuuuut the donation drive image should be updating relatively soon... |
